I work with individuals and couples navigating emotional overwhelm, relationship patterns, identity development, and the lasting effects of trauma. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in relationships, especially when we feel safe enough to be honest and fully ourselves.

As a first-generation Colombian-American, I understand the complexity of holding multiple identities while balancing cultural expectations and personal truth. I bring this lived experience into the therapy space alongside curiosity, compassion, and respect for the ways people learn to survive and adapt.

Individuals

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, neurodivergence, body image concerns, and identity-related stress. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, reflective, and high-functioning, yet feel overwhelmed by internal pressure, relational strain, or unresolved emotional pain.

You might be:

  • Trying to make sense of your emotional world

  • Learning to create boundaries in relationships that feel unsafe or overwhelming

  • Working to feel more at home in your body

  • Exploring how cultural expectations or early attachment experiences continue to shape you

You’re seeking a space where you don’t have to over-explain, perform, or fix yourself—just a place to be understood and supported as you explore what’s next.

Couples

I work with couples who feel caught in cycles of conflict, emotional distance, or misunderstanding. You may care deeply about one another but feel unsure how to repair after rupture, communicate clearly, or feel emotionally close again.

Couples often come to therapy feeling:

  • Stuck in repeating arguments

  • Disconnected or emotionally distant

  • Impacted by anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, grief, or family-of-origin patterns

My couples work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and focuses on identifying negative cycles, understanding underlying emotional needs, and building greater emotional safety and responsiveness.

How I help

My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity. Whether you're coming in as an individual or with your partner or family, my goal is to create a space that feels safe enough to explore what hurts and strong enough to hold what’s possible.

I provide attachment-based, trauma-informed therapy for individuals and couples who feel emotionally burdened, stuck in familiar patterns, or disconnected from themselves or one another. My work focuses on understanding why patterns exist, how early relationships, family roles, cultural narratives, and lived experiences shape the ways we cope, connect, and protect ourselves.

In our work together, we slow down and pay attention to emotional and bodily cues while gently exploring the relational and generational patterns influencing how you think, feel, and connect.

My work integrates:

  • Attachment-based therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples

  • Psychodynamic and depth-oriented approaches

  • Somatic and nervous system–aware practices

  • Inner child and parts-informed exploration

  • Culturally responsive care

In therapy, we may explore:

  • Early experiences that shaped how you relate to others

  • Protective strategies that once helped you cope or belong

  • How your nervous system responds to stress and connection

  • What it looks like to relate to yourself with more compassion and flexibility

Together, we build a foundation of safety and trust so long-held patterns can shift and new ways of relating can emerge.
